We have administered 2 advice websites for a number of years. These are entry level guides to search engines and website design. You will at most gain a simple understanding of the fields but that is all that you are expected to get in a few pages!!
Website Design Tips
This website provides some simple tips to look out for when thinking about the design for a website. It tries to stop you falling into the traps many people do. It was written a few years ago when people thought it was good to have bright pink backgrounds with white text!!
People have learnt but still good to make sure you are not causing a style disaster of your own!

Many people asked us how the search engines work. Short of sitting down for several hours of evening classes we put this site together for some of the simple and obvious things. It misses many areas but we have tried to include the areas that somebody none technical can have an influence over.
